Monroe remembers Senna

Today marks the 20th anniversary since the world lost one of the greatest ever Grand Prix drivers, Brazilian Ayrton Senna da Silva.

Ayrton Senna was one of the first ever motor racing ambassadors for Monroe, with Monroe Brazil supporting the new talent during his debut Formula One season with the Toleman team back in 1984.

We attach this image of Ayrton as he started his meteoric career at the pinnacle of international motorsport, that continued across a decade and covered 161 races, 41 victories and 67 pole positions.

While some of his records have and will be surpassed, his positive influence for many millions of Brazilians, motor racing and general sports competitors worldwide is part of a legacy that remains stronger than ever, 20 years on.
